    The Compliance and Facilities Manager, reporting to the Engineering manager, will have one direct report. They are expected to schedule the activities of the facilities function on a daily basis, ensuring efficient completion of site facilities jobs and all contractor activities on site have been clearly communicated to all relevant personnel. They will be the primary contact for site visitors and contractors, inducting them to site and assisting with directing them to the relevant teams and areas. Undertaking any other duties as may be required by your Line Manager or the Executive team, consistent with the scope of the job.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    Main tasks of job:

    • To coordinate and manage the activities relating to EHS compliance within the Engineering Department’s remit, in regard to ensuring the business complies to all Statutory and Mandatory EHS requirements.
    • To identify any non-compliance and create resulting action plans to rectify in a timely manner.
    • To coordinate and manage PTW (Permit to Work) and contractor activities on site to ensure they are scheduled and carried out safely and in accordance with all applicable Safety Standards and relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
    • To provide primary contact on site for Visitors and Contractors and assist with inducting and directing them to the relevant responsible person.
    • Schedule/carry out activities of the Facilities function daily to ensure efficient completion of site facilities jobs raised through the CARL CMMS system and email requirements.

    Key results areas:

    • To work alongside the Engineering Manager to ensure all Engineering EHS Statutory and Mandatory requirements are met. To identify any non-compliance and create resulting action plans to rectify in a timely manner.
    • To manage service contracts for all contractors in relation to achieving Statutory and Mandatory compliance
    • To maintain any and all internal servicing requirements, schedules, reports, adherence and rectification work identified to achieve Statutory and Mandatory compliance
    • To create and periodically review SOPs and risk assessments for all internal compliance and facilities routine activities.
    • To be a key member of the Energy Management team on site. Managing and administering the systems put in place for ISO 50001 certification
    • To be a key member during department and business audits and ensure the Engineering department comply with any recommendations.
    • Responsible for periodic fire precaution tests across the site and resolving any defects. Be responsible for holding quarterly Fire Warden team meetings.
    • To be a key member of the Contractor Control and Permit to work scheme, managing and administering the systems put in place to control them. issue work permits where qualified to do so and arrange completion of specialist work permits in a timely manner with suitably qualified Celotex personnel for the duration of the work.
    • To ensure all contractors coming on site have Celotex approved contractor status and are fully up to date on the Celotex approved contractor database.
    • Ensure all necessary Risk Assessment Method Statements [RAMS] have been received in a timely manner, agreed and approved by relevant personnel before allowing any contractor work to commence.
    • To raise, propose and lead Capital expenditure projects relevant to Engineering EHS compliance and infrastructure for discussion and approval by Manager/Director.
    • To apply company management of change procedure to track and mitigate risks from any equipment or process changes made regarding site facilities and compliance.
    •  To ensure that all key performance indicators [KPIs] and/or objectives set with your manager are performed effectively and within target and agreed parameters.

    Skills/Knowledge Required:

    Essential on Entry:

    • Experienced in managing contractor control & PTW on busy manufacturing sites.
    • Has significant experience of site hazards and risks.
    • Has significant experience and applicable knowledge of HSE legislation, RFSO, PSSR, EAWR, L8, LOLER, WAH, etc.
    • As a minimum holds IOSH Managing Safely accreditation.
    • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision.
    • Good organizational and influencing skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Good IT skills with experience on Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc.
    • Experience in writing SOPs and conducting formal Risk Assessments
    • General Building, Joinery and Plumbing Skills & Experience Preferable for the role
    • CITB Safety Management qualification
    • NEBOSH Qualifications/Certification

    Essential in Role:

    • Counterbalance FLT license.
    • PASMA License for mobile access platform work.
    • IPAF License for Access Platform.
    • Has significant knowledge and experience of the operation and maintenance of site fire precautions and sprinkler systems and is the primary site contact for all fire safety systems.
    • Approved Celotex Contractor Controller and approved Celotex Permit to Work issuer.
    • Experience in utilizing Management of Change Procedures
    •  Energy Management experience
    • Legionella Management for Water Systems (Legionella Responsible Persons)
    • Control & optimisation of facilities and compliance financial budget
    • Meets the requirements of the Company Competency Matrix

Vacancy 2: Warehouse Team Leader

    We have a vacancy for an Operations Team Leader, reporting into the Operations Shift Manager.

    The purpose of this role is to manage and lead the warehouse activities on the Eggborough site, including driving a safety culture, ensuring warehouse activities are compliant with company, legal and statutory requirements. Driving culture and engagement, commitment and continuous improvements.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Relevant management or supervisory experience within a warehouse / logistics environment.

    • Excellent IT, analytical, communication, and organisational skills.

    • Must be a fully certified forklift driver, ideally within a high-volume environment.

    • Strong people management skills including the ability to lead and motivate others to achieve results.

    • Ideally experienced in Divalto or other MRP platforms.

    • Excellent knowledge of and ability to apply lean manufacturing/WCM tools and techniques and associated continuous improvement programmes.

    • Ideally NEBOSH qualified but a minimum of IOSH managing safely qualified.

    • NVQ level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent leadership and management working experience.

    • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and its application within a manufacturing environment. A proven commitment to EHS, and experience in driving a ‘behavioural culture’.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Ensure that all operations within the warehouse function are effectively managed to achieve maximum stock availability and loading efficiency and that company service targets are achieved.

    • Plan and manage warehouse operation resources and activities to optimise use of labour and equipment and that the task is accomplished at optimum unit cost.

    • Organise staff recruitment and training, monitoring staff performance and progress.

    • Build a highly productive warehouse team and create a positive culture of the warehouse team to thrive.

    • Motivate the Warehouse Operatives ensuring that professional standards are maintained and that a safety and quality culture is developed throughout the function.

    • Provide performance reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, monthly KPI of the warehouse.

    • Identify initiatives and projects that enable costs reduction and /or improved customer experience, using a structured WCM approach.

    • Managed the warehouse stock layout to ensure space is utilised with maximum efficiency whilst matching changing manufacturing requirement and /or sales history patterns.

    • Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment within the warehouse.

    • Ensure that all Warehouse mechanical handling equipment (MHE) is checked, operated and used in line with the company policy and Health and Safety at work requirements at all times.

    • Ensure that safe systems of work and working practices exist for all warehousing activities and actively encourage their use: if they do not exist it is your responsibility to create and communicate them to your team.

    • Ensure that every load is checked prior to dispatch and that no errors or damaged boards are sent out and that all anomalies thoroughly investigated and preventative actions implemented to prevent recurrence.

    • Maintain and develop good inter departmental relations and communications.

    • Ensure that high standards of housekeeping are established and maintained at all times, using 5S methodology.

    • Arrange stock checks requested and attend yearly full stock check.

    • Responsible for compliance to Health and Safety policies and procedures and investigations of accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences within the warehouse and logistics area.

    • Adhere to Celotex accounting procedures and where appropriate monitor expenditure under your control.

    • Undertake other duties as may be required by your line manager or the executive team, consistent with the scope of the job.

    • Adhere to all company / group policies and procedures and ensure that you respect these with regard to, though not limited to, health and safety the elimination of waste and care for the environment, equality of opportunity and prevention of fraud.
